I had plans to continue with this page a long time ago. I set everything up, even put a couple of posts out there. My favorite scriptures. The ones that show the faithfulness of our God. The ones that gave me such hope.

I had to retire from my career at a municipal center first. That is finished. Check.

I had to get my retail/reselling business off the ground and moving. That is finished. Check.

I had to visit my mom. That is finished. Check. (Hi Mom! and all you Omahans!)

When I saw the news on Charlie Kirk, I didn’t even know who he was. I was busy with all of the above. Sure, I’d heard of Turning Point. But it was one of those things on my list to get back to that just didn’t happen. I graduated from college (Liberty) in 2018. I was a little old, so I was an online student. It was before Charlie’s time, but I understand what he was trying to achieve. It is why I attended Liberty University instead of a more local college. I too am a “Champion for Christ.”

My heart mourns for him and his family. for those kids who will face life without a strong father. For the loneliness and despair his lovely wife is experiencing right now. For the sadness that anyone would pick up a gun and shoot someone just because of a disagreement with a spoken message. For the family of the shooter who will never be able to forget this darkness that blemished the family name.

Yet, it has triggered a huge outpouring of love and devotion. Suddenly, like Charlie, people are speaking out and saying ‘enough’! Turning Point is bursting with new applications from colleges throughout the United States. It even brought international attention. What have I contributed so far? I have my “make heaven crowded” sweatshirt which I am so proud to wear!

Well, I’m joining in on the conversation. I, too am going to spend some time each week pouring forth my faith and belief, and challenging you to do the same. We can’t let this go without a response. We simply can’t.

Welcome to my blog. Again.
